Your cameras already see. Now make them think.
Convert the CCTV cameras you already own into AI cameras — without replacing them. One add-on system, for every type of site. Your cameras start detecting events and sending alerts, instead of only recording.
Most CCTV cameras only record. Nobody can watch them all.
Today CCTV is usually checked only after the theft, accident or dispute has already happened.
Only records
A recorder stores video. It cannot tell the guard that someone just crossed the fence, or that a worker entered without a helmet.
Nobody watches
A person cannot watch many screens for hours. One operator cannot follow dozens of cameras for a full shift.
Data is wasted
Visitor counts, queue length, vehicle movement, shift discipline — all visible on camera, none of it reported.
Over 84,000 CCTV cameras are installed across the 100 Smart Cities, feeding city command centres (Press Information Bureau, June 2025). Most only record.
Keep the eyes. Add a brain.
One AI box is added at your site. It reads the video your cameras already produce. Cameras, cables and recorder stay in place. If the AI layer is switched off or removed, the CCTV system still runs as before.
Works with most brands
Any camera or recorder that gives a standard video link (RTSP, found via ONVIF). Checked per model in the survey.
Small changes, no rewiring
We add a read-only login on the recorder and adjust its video settings. No hardware change at the camera.
Sized for your site
One box handles from a few to dozens of cameras, depending on video quality and how heavy the detection is.
Choose what each camera should detect.
Choose what each camera should watch for
Intrusion, line crossing
An alert the moment someone enters a fenced zone or crosses a marked line.
Person waiting too long
Someone loitering near a gate, ATM or boundary beyond a set time.
Camera covered or moved
Tampering with the camera itself raises an alert.
Helmet, jacket, safety gear
Checks at the gate and on the floor.
Entry into danger zone
A person near a machine or marked area they should not be in.
Fire, smoke, person-down *
Early-warning aids only — see the note below this panel.
Visitor counting
How many people entered, by hour and by gate.
Queue length, estimated wait
At billing, OPD or service counters.
Crowd density, busy areas
Where people gather, and when it crosses a limit.
Count and type
Vehicles in and out, car versus truck versus two-wheeler.
Number plate reading
Needs a dedicated camera at the right angle — read rate measured at your gate.
Wrong-way, no-parking
Flagged for review by your team.
Counter or desk unattended
An alert when a manned point is empty beyond a set time.
Machine or line idle
Idle time logged from the camera view.
Truck loading time
How long each vehicle spends at the bay.
Garbage dumping, overflow
Dumping spots and overflowing bins flagged from existing city cameras.
Waterlogging, encroachment
Standing water and blocked public space reported with a snapshot.
Stray cattle on road
Alerts to the ward team before complaints come in.
Find events by type and time
Jump to every detection in a zone, instead of scrubbing hours of video.
By clothing or vehicle colour
Narrow a search to a red shirt or a white car.
From the day AI is switched on
Search covers events detected after the retrofit, not old recordings.
Trained on your own footage
Detections built for your site, with your written consent.
Your uniform, product, process
Rules specific to how your site works.
Added as needs grow
New use cases on the same cameras, without new hardware.
Not all of these are equally mature. Intrusion, line crossing, counting and vehicle detection are well established. The rest depend heavily on the camera view and need tuning or training on your site — each use case is accepted only on trial results. * Fire, smoke and person-down are early-warning aids only. They will miss some events and do not replace a certified fire detection and alarm system, nurse-call, or any safety system required by law. Face recognition is off by default; it is used only for a defined, lawful purpose.
Many installed cameras can be converted. We test each one before giving a price.
| What you have | Result | What is needed |
|---|---|---|
| IP camera, 720p or higher | Ready | Connect the AI box and add the video link. No hardware change at the camera. At 720p, small details may not be clear. |
| HD analog (AHD / TVI / CVI) on a networked DVR | Ready via DVR | Read from the DVR's network video link. Quality depends on the DVR's settings. |
| Old analog (CVBS / 960H), or DVR with no network video link | Limited | Basic intrusion and counting only. Needs a converter or a new DVR. |
| Badly placed, backlit or dirty-lens camera | Limited | Clean, re-aim or relocate. Replace only if that does not fix it. |
| Camera that works only through its own mobile app | Not suitable | No video link to read. Replace the camera if that view matters. |
Recorder capacity
Every recorder limits how many video links it can serve. We test this, so recording and remote viewing are not affected.
Number plates
Need a dedicated camera at the right angle. Indian plates vary a lot, so we quote the read rate measured at your gate.
Night
Low light raises misses and false alerts. It is fixed with lighting, not software. Colour-based checks need white light.
Upgrade what works. Replace only what does not.
| Replace with new AI cameras | Retrofit existing cameras | |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront spend | New camera at every point, plus installation | AI boxes and software; cameras reused |
| Site disruption | Re-cabling, re-mounting, downtime per camera | Mostly network and settings work |
| Mixed brands | Detection often tied to one brand | Works across most brands |
| Upgrading the AI | Limited by the chip inside each camera | Updated centrally on the box |
| Picture quality | Best — new sensor, better at night | Limited by the old camera |
| Ongoing | Camera warranty and maintenance | One more device to power, secure and update |
| Best for | New sites, or views that need fine detail | Existing sites with working cameras |
Retrofit is not always cheaper — for a small site with very old cameras, new AI cameras can cost less. Our suitability report shows both options.
What about an AI recorder? Branded AI recorders handle basic person / vehicle alerts well. A retrofit is for mixed brands, custom rules and reporting.
Three ways to install, chosen by the size of your site.
AI box at your site
A compact AI unit beside the recorder, on UPS power.
- Continuous video stays on your premises
- Detection and local siren work without internet
- Phone alerts wait and send when the link returns
Shops, branches, schools, clinics, societies, single plants.
Server in your control room
AI servers in your control room or data centre.
- Hundreds of cameras under one system
- Events sent to your monitoring software or command centre
- You control data and access
Municipal bodies, hospitals, big factories, townships.
Box per site + one dashboard
An AI box at each site, one central dashboard.
- Detection at each site, reporting in one place
- Only events and snapshots are uploaded
- Compare branches side by side
Retail chains, banks, fuel networks, warehouses.
What the site must provide: UPS-backed power for the box, a wired port on the camera network, and one common clock for recorder and AI box — so every alert matches the recorded video to the second.
What decides the result — and what we will not promise.
No "99% accuracy" claims
Real accuracy depends on camera position, lighting, picture quality and how the rule is set. It can only be known by testing at your own site.
An old camera limits what AI can see
A retrofit cannot add detail that the camera did not capture. Low-resolution, backlit or dirty-lens cameras limit what can be detected reliably.
Too many false alerts kill the system
If a guard gets fifty wrong alerts a day, he stops looking. We measure false alerts per camera per day and tune until your team can handle it.
It assists people. It does not replace them
Someone must still receive the alert and act. It is a detection aid, not a guarantee — it will miss some events.
So we always start with a small trial — a few cameras, agreed pass/fail numbers, day and night measured separately. You expand only after the numbers are met at your own site.
Two rules that affect CCTV projects — and how we handle your data.
Essential Requirements for CCTV
Since 1 April 2026, CCTV cameras that do not meet MeitY's Essential Requirements cannot be sold in India. The rule governs sale, not use — cameras already installed can continue to operate, one more reason to retrofit. For government purchases, MeitY has prescribed security testing of CCTV cameras since 2024.
For your project: any new camera we add will be a conforming model. Requirements for recorders and the AI box are confirmed for each tender.
Digital Personal Data Protection
Video in which a person can be identified is personal data. Rules were notified in November 2025; most duties on organisations apply from 13 May 2027. Adding AI is a new use of the video — notices need updating.
For your project: record the lawful basis for each camera's purpose, tell people they are recorded, restrict and log access, set a retention period, and have a breach process.
Video stays on site
Only alerts with a snapshot or short clip leave, over an encrypted link.
You own the data
We work as your data processor, under a written contract.
A secured box
No default passwords, no open ports from the internet, logged access.
Privacy options
Face blurring, counting without identity, auto-delete on your schedule.

Four steps. You can stop after the trial.
- Step 1
Site survey
We list every camera and recorder, test the video links, and agree the 3–5 use cases that matter most. You get: a camera suitability report.
- Step 2 · 2–4 weeks
Trial (pilot)
A few cameras, live at your site, for at least 2–4 weeks. Zones, timings and limits are tuned on real video. You get: measured results vs targets.
- Step 3
Full installation
Extended to all suitable cameras. Alerts connected to guards, managers, sirens or your control room. You get: a live system, trained staff.
- Step 4
Run and improve
Health monitoring, re-tuning as the site changes, and new use cases without new cameras. You get: a regular performance report.
Trial pass/fail — four numbers we agree before starting.
Detection rate
Share of real events caught, checked against reviewed video.
False alerts
Per camera per day, at a level your team can handle.
Alert speed
Seconds from event to alert on phone or screen.
Uptime
Share of hours each camera was being analysed.
Buy once
You buy the AI boxes and licences. A yearly maintenance contract (AMC) covers updates and support.
Per camera, per month
Hardware, software and support in one monthly fee for each AI-enabled camera.
Trial first, then expand
A fixed-scope trial on a few cameras, followed by Model A or B if the agreed numbers are met.
Price is quoted after the site survey because it depends on camera count, detections chosen and hardware needed. We do not state a savings figure until it has been measured in your trial.
What you get in writing.
- What we commit to — the detection rate, false-alert level and uptime agreed in the trial, re-measured at agreed intervals, and what we do if they slip.
- Who is responsible for a missed event — the system is a detection aid, not a guarantee. It does not replace guards, a certified fire alarm, or any safety system required by law.
- What happens to your video — exactly what leaves your site and where it is stored. Your video trains models only with your written consent, and is deleted or returned at contract end.
- Lock-in — your cameras and recorder keep working if the AI layer is removed. The licence basis, and what happens if a subscription ends, are stated up front.
- Who maintains it — hardware warranty, support hours, response time, and who monitors the box — written into the quote, not left to a phone call.
- Whose technology it is — which AI software and which hardware make and model are used at your site, and who owns the models trained on your video.
The same retrofit can power a full video intelligence platform.
Bharat Vision AI™
Our video intelligence platform — forensic search, ANPR and a central command centre on top of the same retrofit.
